pcie mini to pcie x1

iv recently disassembled my old laptop and taken out the pcie mini card but my PC motherboard is a pcie 2.0 slot which is smaller than the card is there any converters out there that I can use to plug it into my PC?

Yes, but IT is not cheap and gets poor reviews (apparently doesn't take a half size card).

Yes, PCI/PCIe adapters are cheaper and more reliable than using an adapter to a different slot device like mPCIe. The cheapest wireless adapters are also the easiest to install: USB. And they work fine.
