PCIe or AGP for upgrade?

I sort of have an attachment to my current case. It's so minimalist I love it. I could get a new cheap case, but it might be better just to reuse the case from the older computer I have, assuming I keep the parts. I have a serious problem not wanting to ever get rid of old computer parts. Of the four previous computers I've used at home in my life, which seems like a pretty small number now that I think about it, 3 are still kicking around, though they don't still all work.

You could be a serious Folding fool with that many rigs!

Ugh, yes you do. LoL, Don't know how I mess up my own model number. NF3 Ulra... Neo2 platinum. Shoot, I messed that up a couple spots in the past week. Anyway, must be my subconscience kicking in trying to make my system seem newer than it is. 😉

LOL! Although I wouldn't exactly call your rig old at this point.

This guy may have bouth by now, but PCIe has some advantages other than the general one that are discussed. There are new features with this card that are avaialbe in BIOS that were not with AGP. SOme of these features are almost a one stop setting that will dynamically OC your video card at optimum settings.

Frying parts always seems to take the joy out of the moment, the wind out of your sails. I wouldn't say it makes anything less interesting...especially if you get a light show out of the deal
however short the show may be...

__________________________________________________

Thats exactly what my uncle said this one time right after I touched the end of a sparkplug wire while the engine was running. I had accidentally caused an arc with a wrench and it scared me so bad that when I was trying to get my hand out of the way I basically grabbed the spark plug wire. That kind of jolt you never forget!

Now that I have given up hope, I feel alot better

ROFLMAO! I can just see you getting one hand zapped by the plug, jumping up/away from the plug and knocking your head on the inside of the hood...then hopping around sucking the shocked finger while rubbing your head with the other hand!

Not only that, but I couldnt get my breath for a few seconds. Beleive it or not, it hurt my NADS worse than anything.

Now that I have given up hope, I feel alot better

ROFLMAO! Were you scratching your nuts at the time?
*tears in eyes from laughing*

No, the jolt actually went all the way from my hand down to my NADS. A big jolt like that always comes out or ends somewhere, I guess the family jewles is where this one ended. This guy that I went to school with was moving an antenna on top of his roof and hit an electrical wire. The current went through his hands and blew a hole out of each foot. That bastards still alive. I think that he must have made a deal with the devil.

Now that I have given up hope, I feel alot better

Wow. With that kind of experience, you should have been an electrician or something
