Above is the link to the splitter i have a question about. So I built a mining rig for Ethereum. It will be a 9 card setup. My CPU can handle 16 PCIe lanes. All PCIe lanes are set to x1.

My question is this: Can i plug the Splitter into one of the x1 ports, and will it split to all three ports and allow mining for 3 additional (technically 2) GPU? Or do i need to make that one port x4 or x8 or something to allow each port to be used?

Yes you can but anything plugged in that adapter will have to share same PCIe x1 slot.

So will mining hashrate be diminished? Or does mining take such little bandwidth that it wont effect it?
