Pcie X1 to X16 riser cables for gaming

Hi guys i have a doubt on buying a riser cable for my motherboard, as it’s not having a x16 slot. Nd my mobo is asus P5KPL-AM-IN. Now the question is ‘can i use a x1 to x16 riser cable for gaming’?? Nd if it is ok then which one is best for gaming?? Help me out guys
 
An very big YES.
Lean towards haswell, ivy bridge or sandy bridge CPU's. i5-2500, i3-3570, i5-4460/etc.
Usually motherboards are cheap around 40-50$ budget ones and ram kits are avalilable under 50-60$ for 2x4GB.
And since i guess you have cheap PSU also you're gonna have to spend on PSU.

Soo for CPU from 50$-150$
Motherboard 30$-70$
Ram 50$-100$
PSU 30$-60$ (good quality one)
And GPU that you mind to buy or have, and also on haswell generation you get really good playable experience with intergrated graphics.
