Question PCIe x16

Hi, I am sure my question has been asked before but a bit confused.

My motherboard is a gigabyte H97n-Wifi and in the spec says

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)

I would like to get Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-4400-HD HVR 4400 which is pcie 1x would it work in the PCI Express I said above

yep, no problem, the socket will be longer than needed but that's normal

Thank you so much makes life easy now. I will be upgrading my mother board soon in 6 months I have to save for it but this will do in mean time
