[SOLVED] Pen drive faulty?

I have Kingston DataTraveler G3 16GB pen drive, but suddenly it shows only 2MB of space in the entire drive.

I've tried clearing it via quick format option and through cmd but no joy, it transformed into 2MB drive.

What's the cause of this, is it some hardware wear and tear or am I missing something?

You can try to load Gparted (bootable iso image, boot up from a usb stick) and see what happens if you create a new partition table (msdos type).
