Oh, well that really depends on what cooler you have, what about your motherboard? I think the very max would be 4.0GHZ. But if you are not using a good cooler, I recommend the Arctic Freezer 7. Please list other specs.

Just your whole PC specs, i.e PSU, motherboard, cooler etc....everything

EPoX EP-5P945-3 (supports not rly much: some low tier pentium, celeron, prolly everything at 90μm)
generic 300W PSU (gotta fix my 550W one)
box cooler at 2k RPM (gettin new 4000RPM today)
2 GB RAM DDR2 😀

Right first thing I'd do is get the 550W unit in there, first rule for overclocking (and building a PC) is to make sure you have a decent PSU. What 550W unit is it?

Generic 550W PSU 😀

You need to get a branded PSU first, unless you like the thought of your computer going up in smoke.
