I have a pentium 4 2.4 Ghz and when I run a graphics intense game my temperature goes from about 89/90F to 105/107F. I have an Asus P4T533-C motherbaord, and the monitor that came with it has a CPU temperature alarm that goes off at 104F. I am looking for an acceptable CPU temperature range so I can know if 105/107F is ok for my cpu?
Oh yeah, that would be 42C when it's running hot. Sorry for just giving F temps.

42c under load is acceptable if not standard(depending on the room temp etc) for a P4c. There is a post somewhere not far in the cpu section called POst your temp with every1 posting their temp and their cooling methods...Go take a look
As for that alarm just raise it around 55-60 wich is still really safe and if you P4 overheat its gonna trhottle itself anyway so its not big deal.

God damn, my temps are high, I can get 70C under load with stock cooler, no OC and a room temp of about 40 (friggin desert here in Israel)

I had a much better usertitle but was caught trying to hack me a better one so I got my current title as a punishment

70C!!! With temps running that high....I see a short-lived cpu...

Ever think about an air conditioner or water cooling? LOL!!

40C..WOW! I would be sweating my hiney off with those temps!

Ok, so you have to put your "2 cents" in, but its value is only "A penny's worth". Who gets that extra penny?

intel cpu's are tested at 80 to assertain clock speeds, so I don't see the big deal, if it gets hot it underclocks it's self, it'll run for years and years at 70, my 2.8b will runs up to 53-55 at load, (thankfully it's not 40 in my room or I'd be screwed), baisicly if you're running a p4 you don't have to worry about heat unless it goes unstable.
