Pentium D 840 3.2G EE vs AMD FX-60

Would there be a big performance difference between these 2 in gaming and stuff?

They both would game fine, but hte fx60 would game finest of tehm... 😉

Although a few applications exist where the 2meg x2 L2 cache helps the EE processor, in games, it is normally manhandled by even an X2 /3800+; not a good price point for gaming, and these 8xx series of dually cpus are quite warm.

The FX60 would be better in games 😀
