Pentium G vs Core 2 quad

which one of these are good for gaming.(overall). I myself want to buy pentium g processor as the quad cores are too old.

This is not the final im thinking of building beacause i have to save money and till i save much amount , new cpus might get released or i5 processors might decrease in price.

Pentium G4400
Corsair LPX 4gb ram,,might increase it to 8gb
No graphics card till now

Hyperthreading and the iGPU of an i3 from that generation (such as the i3-6100) will bring you a performance increase. Or go for the G4560 from Kaby Lake, which is essentially a cheaper i3 with hyperthreading.

I don't like running Windows and applications with < 8 GB of RAM these days.

what is your budget right now? and I agree its pretty much essential to run Windows 10 and applications on 8 gigs of ram

If you're going with a Pentium G, definitely get one w/ hyper-threading. G4560 is cheapest one w/ HT.

Game-debate shows some percentages that do not actually reflect in-game performance.

If you must use something as a basis for comparison, I'd suggest Userbenchmark.com over Game-debate, it does a better job at giving you an idea of the difference you can expect. If you're wanting to play games with a Pentium G and you're not looking at one w/ hyper-threading then you're wasting your time. Just my opinion.

It probaly can even blow a FX 9590 and Pentium 4 Extreme
