This has been asked many times, but let me ask this one more time:
is hyper-threading worth it?

Obviously I won't ask that question, if I have much more budgets.
Should I go for Core i3 or just stick to the Pentium
(which essentially Core i3 with no HT)?

Thanks a lot.

Update(?)
I'm going to use it for gaming, no, not the heaviest kind (BF4, etc).

Solution
Very very few games let the i3 pull way ahead of pentium (4+ghz oc)

They perform about the same in most games (Pentium 4+ghz), but the Pentium is 40-50$ cheaper, and allows more savings

I don't plan to OC.

I've heard that G3258 is very OC-friendly, but like I said,
I don't plan to OC.

thank you, captain obvious! yes, it's better, but it also costs more. just like i5. and then i7.

LOL, this is what I meant.

Get the i3 if you're not OCing. The only way to get the pentium anniversary edition up to i3 standards is ocing and as you've said. You're not OCing.
