I play a game called Perfect World International and it lags so hard. I have 3 gb ram in my dell dimension 8400.

The current specs are:

3gb ram
pentium 4 3.2ghz
radeon x300 128mb graphics card PCI Express
350w power supply

what would be the best graphics card I could put in this? I know its an old PC but I cant afford to go and buy a brand new windows 7 machine. So i'm upgrading necessary parts to make it cope with what I do. Besides that game all I do is watch youtube, and go to forums so theres no need for a fully new PC yet.

I have been looking at 512mb cards and I just dont know what would be the best card or what even determines how much FPS you have during gameplay.

I basically want a card that is good enough to get me up near 30 FPS.

sorry read it wrong i thought it said 128mb card on that one. Well are the 35 dollar ones that are normal priced 35 bucks just as good as that for my system?

Also how do i figure out which need a PSU upgrade and which dont need one?

You would have to look at benchmarks for each card.

And no, for the price that card I picked out is actually really amazing.

If you don't want a rebate I can look for the best 40 dollars card, but it won't be near as good.

Here is this, but with shipping it comes out to be more than 40 dollars...

if becuase of the shipping the previous is too expensive

The original card I linked is loads better however.

I might eventually get EVE online also. so the 40 dollar cards are a no go? I just hate rebates. As long as the card is powerful, no rebate, and will work in my slot idc what kind it is really. The main thing is I wanna get good FPS in PWI, and be able to play EVE online eventually.

When you say loads better give me like a comparison like. Is the $60 w/ the rebate like a ferrari to a pinto? or a mustang to a corvette?

Also the only output I need is VGA nething else wuld not be used
