I have i5 4460, 4GB R9 290X and 8GB of RAM.
I currently play on 1920x1080 and all my games run perfectly, however I've always wanted a 21:9 monitor and am close to purchasing a 2560x1080 LG.
I'm not worried about performance for all games except Witcher 3 - because I've heavily modded it with multiple GPU-intensive shaders and textures, it currently runs at an average of 40fps, which is playable for me as I'm not an FPS-obssessive. However I've done the maths and 2560x1080 is 1.3 times the pixels of 1920x1080, so theoretically if it's directly proportional I should experience 1.3 times lower fps, which would be 30fps average...which may be too low to play.
Does it work this simply? Anyone have experience with FPS drops from 16:9 to 21:9 monitors?
