performance diff between 2x16gb and 4x8gb ram for this build...

i bought g.skill 2x16gb 3600 cl19 ram and im trying to figure out if i should have bought 4x8gb instead.... would it make a difference for this build.
-specs-
-i7 9700k
-asus rog strix z390e gaming mobo
-NZXT kraken x52 240mm liquid cooler
-500gb samsung 970 pro m.2 ssd
-1tb samsung 860 evo ssd
-asus rog strix 1080ti gpu
-corsair hx750 PSU

Wouldn't make any difference as that mobo has dual-channel architecture, not quad-channel.

thanks alot man, thats what i thought. i just see that pretty much everyone goes for 8gb dimms. also, as far as performance goes, would it be better to go for lower cl or higher mhz???? i cant really find an answer for that. i mainly just game/lite video editing
