Performance hit if I get a m.2 ssd using i5-6600K?

I have an Intel i5-6600k and Gigabyte gaming 7 motherboard. Since skylake only has 16 PCIe lanes I'm assuming my EVGA 1070 FTW would then run at x8 instead of x16 if I buy a Samsung 960 EVO m.2 SSD. Would this cause a noticeable decrease in graphics performance?

Is kaby lake going to have 20 PCIe lanes and would solve this issue? Not that I really want to upgrade my CPU after just having upgraded everything earlier this year.

Edit:
Or am I wrong about how the lanes work? I see some stuff about how there is separate lanes for the m.2 and sata express and hard drives.
