Question Performance issues on pc low FPS!

So I was wondering if someone could help me with some of the lag issues I have been getting on Rocket League recently, it mostly feels like it is just this game however other games have been having frame issues as well.

I recently went to a festival (not relevant) and ever since I have gotten back, my computer feels slower than usual. For reference, I was getting stable 250 fps (which is the max frames you can get in rocket league) and now it is around 120 if not lower.

When rocket league was open, I checked task manager to see how my CPU and GPU %'s were looking, and it was around 50 for each.

I have tried updating my drivers.

Any help is greatly appreciated

it said high background cpu usage. what running in the background?

wallpaper engine (live wallpapers, software downloaded through steam), steam, nvidia experience, avast and thats it!

I will run a scan now, thanks.
The CPU usage on those is low, around 2% i believe.
