Does this site log keystrokes? I'm seeing performance problems here that I don't see anywhere else. I don't care about privacy with my posts, but the lag between the time I type and the time the text shows in the display really gets old. I really like this board, so I'm hoping someone can give me a setting that will fix this.
I have a 6 month old Dell laptop with Windows 10 Home and 8 GB of RAM, so I don't see or expect this kind of performance lag when I'm simply typing. Can someone help here? TIA

What browser are you using? Tru disabling spellchecking as you type in it.

I think we send stuff as you type to determine which tags apply. Shouldn't cause performance issues.

I'm using Firefox 46.0.1. It's currently using 1405 MB out of 8 GB (with 11 tabs open), so I'll switch to Edge with just 3 tabs and see what happens. I've been using Firefox since release 3, but it's gotten to be quite a memory hog lately. Thanks for the feedback.

Firefox should do just fine. Edge is still kind of a mess. If you want an alternative, Chrome is definitely the way to go.
Just go to options>advanced>general and untick "check my spelling as i type".

Switching to Edge for the forums here has fixed the problem for me. YMMV.

That only happens after you finish typing and the textbox loses focus. It only happens when creating a thread too.
