Periodic Problem Connecting to a Specific Network

So the last couple of months I've been having some strange issues connecting to my home wifi network. Every now and then, maybe every 2-3 weeks or so, when I boot up my computer it is unable to connect to my home wifi. Half the time when the issue occurs my computer can't even find it. When I can attempt to connect, my network adapter shuts off for a couple of seconds then restarts. I can connect to other networks (currently connected to my phone's hotspot) with no issues. Every other device in the house (phones, laptops, tablets, computers, tvs, etc) have no problems. Other times I can connect just fine. Eventually it seems to be able to connect again automatically. My first thought was a problem with the adapter itself, but since I can connect fine to the network normally and to other networks even during the issue, I don't think that's the case. My network adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR922X Wireless Network Adapter.
Steps I've tried:

-Restarting computer
-Restarting both router and modem
-Flushing DNS
-the commands "netsh winsock reset catalog", "netsh int ip reset", "netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log", "netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log"
-Uninstalling network adapter drivers and letting windows reinstall it.
-Network reset

So far, nothing has worked. Please let me know if you have a suggestion of something to try.

Two quick things that can solve such an issue. In your network control panel, manage wireless networks -- delete your home network. Then restart your computer and reacquire the connection entering your security passkey.

If that fails to fix it, I would change the Atheros adapter MAC address with THIS free tool.

Unfortunately neither of these solutions worked, however I did find the specific problem: Occasionally someone else in the household will work from home - it seems that these times are exactly the times I am unable to connect (and often unable to find) the network. What could be the issue here, and how do I solve it?

What model is your router? Is it in a default configuration or have you changed things like the available DHCP address range?
