this works fine http://www.site2unblock.com/win-updates-disabler/

and nothing about disabling updates is illegal. MS does not want you to, but that does not mean you are forbidden from doing it by law. just like jailbreaking/rooting mobile OS's is perfectly legal. if your in the US, the supreme court has ruled this way a couple times already.
You could try changing local group policy. To do so: open a MMC and add the Group policy object snap in. Navigate to Computer configuration >Administrative templates > Windows components > Windows update open Configure Automatic Updates (dbl click). Click Disabled and then Apply/OK.

I have not tested this, but local group policy may override win10 automatic updates. It works in an enterprise when we have it configured. The group policy is applied to all users who log on to a PC.

And just as an FYI, Tom's Hardware does not support or authorize any type of illegal activities. Discussion of such on these forums is strictly prohibited.

Why are you trying to disable updates? Is it causing an issue for you?

Are you running any antivirus?

Where did you get your copy of Windows and what version is it (Home, Pro, Enterprise, etc).

The vast majority of systems that were captured in the WannaCry outbreak were unpatched systems. Either on purpose, or by accident, or pirated OS.
MS released a patch a full 2 months before that went into the wild. Choosing not to apply that left systems vulnerable.

You may think yourself and your systems to be uber careful and invulnerable.
Just like 90% of drivers know they are above average.

I wish you good luck, sir.

There are several drivers that aren't quite compatible with Windows v1709 (I have v1703). I tried 1709 like two months ago, but didn't like it at all, so I downgraded to 1703.

So, if I don't want to get upgraded, I don't want these crap messages to pop up when I'm playing PUBG. It's extremely annoying..

There are very minor differences visually and operationally between the two. You're opening yourself for a world of hurt. There are other ways around bad drivers.

As an aside, I have banned your multi accounts, this one (thums) and Boy07. Please stop making accounts to post once or twice. This is your account stick with it.
