Persisting Problems with Windows

So one day a couple of weeks ago, I turned on my pc, only to be met with a black screen. After a couple more times, I was told "windows cannot start properly." I tried repairing and resetting, but nothing seemed to work. I used this as an excuse to myself to upgrade my rig. I bought some new parts, and installed them all correctly (Bios is working)

note: I used the hard drives connected to that computer, which I had wiped. If that's the issue, tell me how much of an idiot I am and that I need to buy new ones

After confirming that the bios works, I set out installing windows from a USB drive. (Second mistake: I accidentally, I a lapse of judgement, used the key from my old copy of windows 8 on the old PC.) installing seemed to go without a hitch, and I began searching online for drivers. Out of nowhere, the screen flashed once, and faded to black. I waited a few minutes, and when nothing changed, I turned it off. Turning it back on, I was back to square one. I tried repairing and reinstalling, but now it seems that a) the exact same thing is happening b) i have three separate copies of windows installed

So everyone, what can I do? This is driving me crazy, and has been for almost three weeks now. If anyone can help me in the slightest, I would be so grateful. Thanks for taking the time, and thank you in advance.

Solution
If there's more than 1 hdd unplug the others except the one youre installing windows on

Sometimes the install will screw up and put info on the other hdd/s and muck everything up

You can connect the other hdds after you reinstall windows

Yup and dont forget to format / delete the partitions before you reinstall windows
