Personal Cloud Comparisons

Good Day

Does any of you have any experience with any of the following, and if so, what is your opinion on it and reviews?

Note: I am not a big fan of Dropbox. Looking for something local that can easily be cloud hosted. Have a bunch of hard drives laying around.

Rockstor is CentOS/RedHat based, so is as reliable as your hardware is...

FreeNAS has an initial learning curve, and likes/(in fact, requires a healthy amount of RAM, i.e., one GB of RAM per TB of storage), but I set one up with simple mirroring of WD 1 TB drives easily enough....; after set-up, data integrity is a strength of FreeNAS, so many recommend ECC RAM, which would seem prudent if working with important data.... (for movies, who cares)
