PETG tubing for watercooling, how much can I bend this safely?

I am wondering how strong PETG tubing is when heat bending, I was thinking of bending PETG tubing into spiral coils for my water cooling build due to aesthetics over anything else.

How tight can you bend it without risk?

With a rubber insert inside the tube you could pretty much bend the whole length of it any way you want. That said, good fracking luck making a spiral coil with PETG! (Or any hard tube for that matter)

A spiral coil would also create a lot of resistance so you may be looking at needing dual DDC pumps (depending on how big the coil would be).

Cheers for the reply!

Would I not even be able to do a very loose one? even if it was only like 3 rings going up loosely I'm sure it would still satisfy my desire for coils

Also if i did somehow manage it would it be better suited below the pump/reservoir rather than above it to help with flow/pressure?

I had thought of doing it with flexible tubing but was thinking it would try to uncoil itself over time and end up pulling off a tube or something, never used it before so unsure how springy it is.

That is true I suppose! I think I shall try it out at some point, although I'm quite concerned for my plans now hah, would be cool if i could pull it off though and would look sweet with uv green liquid running through a few coils :pt1cable:

Shall do! this would be my first custom loop so will be interesting for me at least, won't be able to do it for a while though as i think i shall have to find a new case as, my spec 03 is a tad too small for what I want to do but I may try it in there first to save me some ££
