Question Pfsense USB Adapters

I have a small computer that i'm no longer using, an asus vm60 vevo pc to be specific, i'd like to change it to a pfsense box, but only having 1 NIC i couldn't really do much with it. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some USB NICs that would be compatible with pfsense, I'd like to avoid virtualization at all costs with pfsense as all that would cause is a headache.

This thread recommends using the USB adapter on the WAN side of the pFsense box. That makes sense since most of the work is done on the LAN side.

Alright, but i heard that certain ones aren't compatible with pfsense which could prove to be a problem.

I'd suggest buying a layer 2+ switch. You can use 1 Gbs nic for many networks. mikrotik has a $40 managed switch I believe. unifi has a 8port with half being POE AF for $110.
