hi, I have 2 Phanteks SK 120mm DRGB fans at the front of my case (a Phanteks Eclipse p360a) and I noticed that they emit a slight buzzing; it's not very noticeable, and practically dead silent with headphones and my ceiling fan, but I can hear it if the ceiling fan is off, or if I have my ear close to the pc
the buzzing is moderately higher pitched and can be kind of inconsistent in how it sounds; prime example is how the fan on the bottom is a bit lower pitched than the fan on the top. I have an Asus ROG Strix B550-F motherboard, the fans are plugged in correctly, and they're clean. I've only had them for about 4 months, but I noticed the sound 2 months ago.
they run consistently all day at 60% speed (which is around 1,100-1,250rpm), and 70% in-game (which is around 1,200-1,300rpm), however I can't imagine the bearings are wearing already, considering some people run their fans at 100% all the time and my previous fans never wore after 4 years. I ran Cinebench to see how the fans kick in; and according to HWInfo, my CPU fan was running at 1,390-1,420rpm and my case fans were running at 1250-1300rpm, similar to gaming load
anyone know if this is just harmless white noise, or have similar experience? while doing a CMOS reset for something unrelated, I did spin my fans myself and couldn't hear anything; not a very effective way to test, but regardless. I also lowered the fan curve in the Bios down to 30% and 40%, which came out to around ~700 and ~900rpm, but the noise did not change so I'm thinking it might be something to do with the cables or the way it's receiving power
EDIT: when the fans ramp up and get louder under load, the buzzing noise remains as it normally is, it doesn't seem to get much louder; if anything, due to the increased rpm, it can sometimes be harder to hear perfectly. it's also constant, the 'buzzing' doesn't stop or break at any point, it's usually very consistent
