Yeah gaming for sure, I'm fairly new to intel CPU's could you point me to a great mobo / i5 combo? most people told me that the i7 was far superior i assume that's just for encoding etc? xD thanks for the reply.

Alright, i was also kind of wondering since i'm going with an i5, what mobo is the best bang for the buck? i have a full atx case size isn't an issue.
I am hoping to find a mobo that supports SLI so when my GTX 660 isn't enough anymore i can just buy another one. Though a lot of people say SLI has issues and is not always supported by every game etc i still think having extra slots allows for different configurations down the road...

Get a z87 motherboard from ASUS, MSI ,GIGABYTE.

Any board you get NEEDS to be able to run 2 pci lanes at x8 at the same time for SLI.

I have 2 gtx560s in SLI and I have no problems at all. Sometimes some games don't support t and then you are stuck at lower settings, but usually most all games are fine and support it.

But, yes, it is generally better to ALWAYS get a single more powerful card than 2 lower end ones.

Alright perfect thanks for your help much appreciated!

I am looking at them now and see many different versions... hopefully you won't mind this spam... but im trying to exclude all the features i do not need but at the same time get the best board for the cash....
