Philips TV Not Changing Source

I have a Philips 50" flat TV that will not switch to DVD or any other source but cable TV. I recently had to buy a new remote but I don't think that is the problem. I purchased a universal remote and programmed it to work fine. In addition, even when I move the source setting manually (using the buttons on the side of the TV) it does not work. The source type is selected but does not change.

Hello,

Please unplug the TV-set from mains, wait at least an hour, plug it in again and see if it works. If not, unfortunately you should visit a TV repair shop...
