Question Phone has 2560 x 1440 screen but YouTube resolution option is only up to 1080p.

I have a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 which has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440. I'd would like to use the full potential of the display. However, the maximum quality setting YouTube gives me in the app is 1080p. Is there a way to force 1440p in YouTube? Or for higher quality videos I have to use the browser version? Thank you in advance.

I do not believe that is an option.

Check display settings as most phones will lower resolution from the factory to increase battery life.

Why would you want it at 1440p? It's a phone you won't be able to tell the difference.
