Phone warranty with a crack on screen

If I had a crack on my phone, but there was a defect from the manufacturer, would they still replace/fix it?

Thats a sticky issue, if you can prove the two problems are unrelated, then maybe they will honor the warranty for the defective portion.
However, most likely they will say you voided your warranty.

Call and see what they say.

a defect in what? the screen or something else? if the defect has nothing to do with the screen then it is a separate issue.
