physics sellout ?

I didn't have a lot of time to look around today, but i noticed some aticles about the "new" physics technology. What I saw was both nvidia, and ati coming around with new chips on THEIR cards, enabling better physics for you and me. What I haven't seen is a stand alone card which will work in conjunction with the video cards I already own. You guys pick up on that ?

Anybody coming out with a stand alone card ? Or did the developer sell us out and "give" the technology to their "favorite" video card vender ?, forcing us to once again, upgrade our already, expensively purchased video cards.

I suggest you do research first BEFORE posting.
