The real issue is not PhysX specifically but nvidia did not make 32bit CUDA for blackwell architecture. Going forward nvidia will only support 64bit cuda on newer hardware. AFAIK new games that use 64bit CUDA like Arkham Knight and Metro exodus still have their gpu PhysX working.Thehet just seems weird to just restrict it, if the hardware is capable, they should just let it run but with a warning that stability is not guaranteed for the depreciated code.
Right now, versions of davinci resolve including ones significantly older than the RTX 5000 cards, can still get full acceleration from the RTX 5000 cards.
In the early days of GPU accelerated frame interpolation, interpolation designed for cards like the GTX 1080 and have not been updated since, can still run on newer cards. Overall, even if Nvidia doesn't want to do any QA work with physx and RTX 5000 cards, they should just let it run with no guarantees.
Just like windows 32 bit. Nvidia no longer make drivers for windows 32 bit. It is not hardware issue but simply 32 bit drivers no longer being develop.
