Hello everyone :D
Im looking to purchase a new headset, i have $200 Australian to spend on this. Im looking around at headsets like the Logitech G430, The Razer Tiamat 7.1 and the Steelseries 9h. i've done lots of looking around at heaps of other headsets like the ones made by creative and other large and small brands. But i have a problem looking at these; i cant read audio or mic specs, as you can imagine this makes things very hard. Currently i have a Plantronics Gamecom 780, i found this headset sturdy with good mic quality and i never had any trouble with the sound quality (for my standards as a total noob at this and that it was my first headset i thought it was really good!).
and thus to close the thread i ask, Could anyone point in the direction of good headsets or could someone tell me how to read the audio and mic specs (also should i get more than one driver in each ear cup and opinions on wireless)
thanks everyone in advance!
Ricky :)

Well, since you only real care about the mic quality, it's really up to you. Any of the headphones you suggested will work for you. But getting a standalone mic is recommended for better recording quality.

Absolutely. It will mostly depend on what kind of VOIP you use, but the blue snowball is a quality mic.

Voice over IP (IE Voice chat over Steam, Ventrillo, etc). Some VOIP's make you sound like shit no matter what kind of mic you use (IE Xbox live circa 2006). As for Steam, there shouldn't be much audio degradation and you will sound good. And you can do pretty good voice recording in the future if you decide to do so.
