Like i said before, we should definetly start an experimental cooling thread!

You guys are by far the most enjoyable people to talk to on the forums :ange:
 
There are a couple of people that are good but none of them are as easy to talk to and as willing to mod.

Most people here just want to spend $300 on WC system and not think about modding.
 
I know................ WTF man.............. I mean are there actually any REAL modders left out there? Im not convinced that half the guys who come to this site and others are even close to the type and caliber of USERS that IM used to. I just cant imagine spending all the money on SHITE I could have built myself. I dont know about you guys, but when I want some thing I just like to make it myself. If I cant and only if I cant ILL buy it.
 
Thinking about selling my i7 rig to a neighbor that has mad cash.... you guys might call me crazy but I have more fun with my AMD rig (more challenging) compared with my i7 rig... something tells me i dont need that much speed since all I do is surf and play games....
 


Yeah, you can have alot of fun modding.

especially with heatsinks!
 
I mean, don't get me wrong the i7 will kill my 550 in a split second but as far as CoD and Crysis Warhead goes.... i can barely see a difference...

Another thing that ticks me off is that my Raptor is barley faster than my 640 black and it was WAAAAAAY more expensive!!!!!! so now i know to stay away from Raptors and soon when i have enough cash for an SSD (if its worth it) I will try one out and benchmark it against a 640 black to see what is better as far as price to performance is concerned.....

Need some ideas for a mod...
 
overshocked, when are you planning to finish your HSH? I want to see your results as I'm also interested in your project...thinking of making one myself...still thinking...lol :)
 


Any mod that looks tight! And improves cooling of course...

I got this for free and its brand new... so it is begging to be modded.

A window would be nice, but how why would i cut out the back and put a window on?
 
You first have to measure and make sure you dont mess with the edges, leaving at least 2 inches or more of space. Both sides should be removable so that would not be an issue, i have never seen that case in person but it should be easy....
 
Im slowly getting the pieces... it will take me a while to finish

But when i picked up the CM sniper i also got a neat little thing in the mail..

The mobo tray has nothing to do with the side panel, since both side panels should be removable you just have to make sure that the window is centralized...the hardest part is cutting the panels and smoothing in the windows... after that everything else is butter.....
 


They are not beautiful, they are AWESOME looking pieces of art.......more than beautiful.....
