Oww...Is the pet store gonna pay for the stitches? or was it not that serious? just a hole? So did you need stitches? I hope you're gonna be alright...you need to be working on the HSH and the phase change...

And Jim,
Again, Congrats! Big Time!!! I'm happy for you and now also sure that these chips, 550s, are real special...
These CPUs are the best you can get at their prices...I mean go and compare...see what kind of chips Intel sells at $100...Those Rip Offs....This chip even beats a lot of AMD Chips...I think It's their best CPU ever...so far...

no stiches, its more like a hole...

but im still working on the phase change and the hsh... i just came back from getting some more gas and a new drill bit.

im going to eat then back out ot the work room.

I finished drilling holes in them, it took me a while. My drill bits kept breaking.

I am going to put three of the heat pipes for the HSH into the copper. Ignore the last hole on the right, it was a practice.

yep, i got some more oxy... hoping to get out to the workroom again as soon as the tour de' france is over

sorry for the typos, i cant rly type with a swolen finger.

No prob, I imagine how hard it is to work with a finger like that... :??:

Hi, :hello:

I have everything at the default [Auto] setting except> CPU Multiplier 17.5 & Core voltage 1.350:

AUTO HT link width, [x8bit or x16bit are my other two choices]
AUTO HT Link Freq @ 2000Mhz

Edit: ooops Thanks videl, yes we did get lucky, this time :sol:

kinda pissed off right now... one of my OCZ Plats just died on me...im done with OCZ... going back to G.Skill....brb gotta order some more Ram.... [:lectrocrew:1] [:lectrocrew:1] [:lectrocrew:1]

Yes OCZ is in my book as POS. I have had more RMAs with ocz than any other we carry! Here is a plus: It does work good when it works!(most of the time)

Can I ask you why you did not clamp that expensive block of copper to a bench press and get your pipe passages straight? Im not trying to be rude overshocked just REAL! You are going to have problems. A cheap drill press would serve you well in your modding career. Check pawnshops as they have really good deals most of the time for tools and such. Be picky when you purchase and visit as many as possible. You never know what you will find. Sometimes I go on these runs just to have a treasure hunt. I have more tools than god and I can thank Pawnshops for that. The passages should be as close to the contact surface as possible, but not compromise integrity of the base. This should also be achieved while maintaining a parallel drill to the contact surface. The passage should also have a 0 degree vertical drill and be evenly spaced so it will draw heat from the base uniformly.

Dude... this will be the 3rd RMA!!!!!! im like WTF?????? OCZ does not make them like they used to....

G.Skill ram is flawlesssss.... Never had an issue.....

trying to get 1066 Ram speed on my mobo is almost impossible...it works for a while and then a stick dies.... just purchased some G.Skill 800Mhz....Blue Sticks... should fix the issue.... [:lectrocrew:1]

You will need a Drill press With a built in drill preferably no less than this:

A must when marking for drilling holes in metal.

http://www.amazon.com/Starrett-18A-Automatic-Center-Adjustable/dp/B0006J4Q64/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_c

A must when measuring your hole locations:

http://www.amazon.com/Neiko-Tools-Digital-Caliper-Measuring/dp/B000EJUBBU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1248589887&sr=1-6
there are three a 6 inch, an 8 inch and the 12 inch. It is good investment to get them all. Especially when you fabricate things that require precision. In your case with the type of fabrications you want to pull off, you definitly need these tools and more.

Get a different board THAT should fix the problem.

so what board? UD4P?

I don't want to anything that has to do with ASUS or Asrock.....

Ohh well I just ordered the RAM, if I still get issues i will RMA both the RAM and board and get something else... [:lectrocrew:1]

with the Zotac?

I need something that will play High-End games, Sli and it has to be AM2+ or AM3....

I am gettin the zotac anyways, just need to test the new RAM (G.Skill) and if all goes as planned then I won't have to worry about the motherboard....

The zotac will support the 940 and the 955 with the bios update. In my case I use these boards as compute nodes or added computing power, not graphics. My head/control node supplys all the graphics necessary. While running server 2008 HPC edition on all nodes or computers, properly configured software and high speed network you can run a virtual machine that will enable you to use all the power of the entire cluster as one machine. Your high-end graphics output will probably be attached to the head node, in this case it should be capable of multiple graphics interfaces for high end cards. In other words the zotacs are just helping hands. These are really good for 3d render farms, video editing, game creation, photo manipulation, and other highly multithreaded apps. You would be building a small super computer.

i did use a drill press and they are almost exaclty strait. 😉

i just need to sand down the pipes a little to fit through them, i might use thermal paste in between the pipe and the block.
