I still say get twoo 4770 and Xfire them you will get better frames and performance over the 260. and plus you are opting for a 790xt board Thats a Xfire board not Nvidia. Although you can still use the nvidia cards in it, it will most definitely perform better with the 2x 4770's

Yea, true that but since I have a BFG card waiting for the trade-in... It wont be wise to spend good coin on a new Ati card..... What would I do with my 260 after all the money spent?
Im ok with one GPU for now... later on if it is necessary I will sell the 260 and get dual 4890's or whatever is best as far as price to performance goes.....

nah keep the card you have dont swap up! its a waste as far as value. You can run win7 with 2x 4770 and an nvidia for physx gotta have enough x16 slots though. best of both worlds

Really? You can use dual Ati's in the first two slot's, and then ad the 260 in the third slot as physics? I mean if I had an SB750 with dual x16 slots and a third x8?

That sounds like driver conflict (issues)... but if it works that would be sweet....

4770's or better yet 4850's? The 4770's look weak.... they look like 6800's with a weird fan....

they actually use a different architecture than the rest of the 4000 series.
