Hello. I am trying to find out if a PIII 650/256/100/1.65v Slot 1 (not using a slot adapter card) will work on my MS6119 1.1 BX2 motherboard?

I tried plugging it in earlier and setting the DIP switches is 6.5x multiplier, but when I turn the power on the monitor recieves no signal.

Right now I am running my PII 450 100mhz FSB proccessor succesfully, so I know everything else is working properly.

Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew Pullin

It could be a voltage detection problem or a BIOS problem. Make sure it has the latest BIOS for that board, if it still doesn't work it's probably the voltage. If it turns out that Voltage is the culprit, I would suggest if you want to run a Coppermine CPU on it you choose a Socket 370 type and an adjustable voltage Slotket at 1.85v setting.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
