Question Ping a printer using printer name.

Hi! Can anyone help me out? I'm trying to ping my printer using it's name. In this case it's Canon TS3300 Series.I keep getting "Ping request could not find host Canon TS3300 Series. Please check the name and try again.

Are you running a DNS service on your local network? That's required for name resolution. Either that or a custom built Host file.

And I will ask - are you able to have the printer print out its' configuration setttings?
