I reinstalled windows last Friday. Starting last Sunday I started getting sudden spikes in ping that will last about 5 seconds before returning to normal. They seem to occur about every 10 minutes or so. I tried installing the latest drivers for my network card. This could be unrelated but I've also noticed that my computer is also no longer able to connect to bluetooth which it could before. Since I'm pretty sure the network card also connects to bluetooth I think these problems may be related.

that is curious, i got the details of the chip from here, they normally fairly accurate - http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Gigabyte_GC-WB867D-I_rev_4.3

but now i notice the revision number is wrong.. oops.
this is yours - http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Gigabyte_GC-WB867D-I_rev_4.2
But that one shows - http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Intel_Dual_Band_Wireless-AC_8260_(8260NGW) not 7260.

revision 2 has 7260 - http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Gigabyte_GC-WB867D-I_rev_2.0, perhaps whoever sent you the WIFI card sent you an older one. or you picked the wrong one on the pcpart picker list and I assumed it was right...

I went to that intel link and it said I didn't have any drivers to install. I had already installed the ones from 2018 but that didn't seem to fix the issue. I'm looking in my device manager and not seeing anything labeled as Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265. There is intel dual band wireless-AC 7260

I went back to my order on Amazon back in 2014 and it looks like the one on PCPartPicker is the same one I have. It also looks like the drivers for both versions are the same.

there doesn't seem like there is a lot of difference between 7260 and 8260 besides maybe form factor.

this isn't getting us any closer to an answer really.

wonder what BT driver you have
Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any - this is intentional, it just lets me see whats there.

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Can you take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here
