Here is my speedtest http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4478615461
It is Comcast btw

So basically, I am trying to play CSGO on a wireless connection. My brother is downstairs playing on an Xbox one. I am getting ping spikes as high as 500, and it is really frustrating. We are both using wireless connections. The router is one floor directly below me, and the Xbox one is in the basement. Would an Ethernet connection solve this problem, or are there any other solutions because this is really frustrating.

Solution
Long answer:

Probably, depending on exactly where this ping difference appears.

Is the ping difference directly attributed to other users on the WiFi?
Is it partially due to the distance from the router?

You'd have to do some testing, and keep a log of when and where the actual ping issue happens. But in almost all circumstances, an ethernet cable is far superior to WiFi.

Performance, decreasing:
Ethernet cable
Powerline
MoCA (if the house is already wired for coax)
WiFi

So, is there an easy way to wire an ethernet cable upstairs or is powerline a good enough alternative?

"Easy" depends completely on your house construction, and how good you want it to look.
A powerline solution will almost certainly suffice.
