Has anyone tried driving this monitor with a mid-2012 Retina Macbook Pro in Picture-By-Picture mode with two DP connections? This seems to be the only way to simulate a 4k 60hz resolution. I just know that some monitors in the past have some flicker/distortion when running in PbP mode, so I was hoping for some real world usage feedback before making the purchase.

What about drivers? When I look in device manager am I going to find this monitor listed or the every day thing Windows generic monitor device driver? I have two Dell U3011 and they are listed.

Because of this review I am putting this model at the top of my wish list. The extra desktop space will be useful. My only concern with 4K on a 28" display is how well the UI of Adobe software will scale. I spend a lot of time in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier (Adobe CC versions) and they all look great on 27" 1440p screens. I worry that the palate text will either be too small to read or will not scale well. Regardless, I think I am going to give it a shot. Worst case, I'll just make sure the monitor comes with a good return policy.
