Planing a system need to know the BEST memory to use with this setup

Hello,

New to the formums here, but I have a pretty basic question I probably already know the answer to but, I wanted to get some outside opinion. What would be the best memory solution for this build? Gaming system, for Max Payne 3 quality games, want 32 GB of ram for this build. What ram would you guys suggest dont really care about price just want to know the best solution for this build taking clock speed and timing into account.

thats a horrible idea for a gaming pc, you could get a z77 board for $200 less, and throw in a 3570k which is $250 less. and with these part you will get 97% of the same performance in games.

then put that money towards better video cards. or just one if you really want virtu MVP, as i do.

but as for ram that board supports up to ddr3 2400. check its compatibility list for some that are guaranteed to work.

So main use is for gaming correct? What kind of monitor do you have.
2011 is really a total waste of money. Put that money towards a nice 2560x1600 monitor

Okay, just to answer your question, any quality brand, quad channel 4x2 or 4x4GB kit of DDR3-1600 will be fine.

But I do agree with the above. You are blowing way too much on the wrong parts in the above system. You've got a $900 motherboard+CPU combo and a $275 video card. If you have the budget to go all out, then throw in a GTX680 or even Two GTX670s.

If this build represents the limit of your budget, then for sure, drop to an i5-3570k and then spend the rest on video card(s).

Essentially the limit in here is going to be the 660 Ti, as-is. So you could be using a $200 processor or a $700 one and the results are going to be about the same. I would suspect you need to be running 2 oe 3 high end cards in SLI before the 3930K and X79 chipset makes a lot of sense.

In reality I am going to take these 2 660's and put them in the wifes computer and get 2 690s shortly.

Both of these computers will be hooked to thier own set of 54 inch sonys for the question about the monitors

I agree, that is what I was going to get initially but I can not find 32GB of it in a set on newegg? any ideas
