Question planning on Cpu upgrade

planning on upgrading the rest of the system
I already have rx6600 as my main gpu with fsp 600w psu
Im thinking going for a r5 3600 bundle , but I dont know if its still the right choice now.
Im currently on i7 3770 right now.

what would be the recommended upgrade that would fit just right with rx6600 ?

put your suggestions and msrp since I dont know the U.S.. market price equivalent here locally.

Go with Ryzen 5000 series instead. Ryzen 3000 is a bit dated by now.

What country do you live in or will be buying the parts?

Either an AMD or Intel system would be fine. Both perform very well.

When upgrading a cpu, I usually recommend a like maker, (intel to intel) or
(AMD to AMD)
There is a leaning curve for an infrastructure change.
At a given price point, performance will be similar.

If buying new, look to current gen first. New products are introduced with improved price/performance. Otherwise, they will not sell.

What are the details of the 3600 bundle?
3600 is a bit old and I would look to a more current gen.

I would compare the offer to a more current Intel offering.

Games, (which I imagine you are most interested in) are highly influenced by the performance of the single master thread.
On your I7-7700 run the cpu-Z bench.

I guess its my mistake for not setting a budget -
lets say around 250 usd for cpu and mobo bundle - ( I can worry about the ram later) what would be your suggestion from both maker that will fit just right for rx6600?
I will buy them locally here in Philippines.
