Right now I have 1 TB hard drive on my rig. There's no way i can transfer or 'clone' everything to SSD.

I want everything the way it is, the desktop, the files on their right location... i mean everything. Just want my windows to be installed on the SSD. I wonder if this demand is even possible.

Thanks in advance.

What is your total space use on the hard drive?

In general one way to go about this would be to shrink the main windows drive partition as far as you can then create a file partition in the unallocated space. You can then move over your Documents/Desktop/Videos/Downloads/ect with the location tab in the properties of each folder under c : \ users \
your login \.

So in the end you would have c : \ with windows and d : \ your name \ with your files. If this gets the size down enough, you can clone over and then once everything is 100%...
This is the only application I've seen that can potentially migrate 'only' the OS:

Non-free.

What you're asking, though, is a non-trivial process.
I always recommend just a fresh install on the new SSD.

If all goes well, you should have something like this.

Now it is important to make SURE you also get the system reserved partition as it is required on most systems to boot Windows.

Alternatively, Installing Windows fresh on the SSD(with the hard drive disconnected) is the recommended way to do these things.
