[SOLVED] Planning to buy SDD but might wont work

I am planning to buy SSD to change my HDD. I notice there is jumper 4 pins at my hdd. I was wondering if SDD have only SATA interface does my laptop work without jumper on it?

The old IDE drives and the modern SATA drives both have jumper pins, so that's not a reliable way to distinguish one from the other. Better idea is to post your laptop make & model, or upload a pic of the existing HDD (the connector end) on a hosting site like IMGUR and post the URL to the picture page.

Generally speaking though, unless your laptop is very old, the HDD interface will most likely be SATA.
