planning to upgrade to a 1070

Hi guys

so my current setup consists of
an i5 4440
8 GB DDR3
on an ASUS H81M-CS motherboard and a corsair VS 450 PSU

ive saved just about enough for a evga gtx 1070 SC and was wondering if i could put it into my current setup without any problems
i know that i might bottleneck the card in a few CPU demanding games and stuff
So i just wanna know if it will run fine on my current system without any problems

anyway my budget is in the ballpark of a 1070 and i wanted a system that would be fine on ultra settings or so for 5-ish years

and know im rather confused..buy a 1060 and upgrade after another 2 years ? buy a 1070 and hopefully it gets me through to atleast 2021-22 ? wait on the next gen mid range gpu ?

1070 and a next year cpu upgrade should give you at least 3 years of that, perhaps more

5 years is not guaranteed, now that amd made a big push in cpu front, game developers will startto tax 4 cores cpus alot more, requiring minimum 8 threads, so your cpu will not be enough soon, 2 years more or less

what you say has lot of sense, 1060 for 2 years, 1070 for almost 4

2022, i don't think it will go that far giving you great framerates so keep a planned upgrade path for the next decade
