You can buy another set of 2X4, but make sure they are the same model ram/speed as what you have.

a SSD will help, it'll give u a boost on processing speed (loading time, booting time, and more )

how RAM really works (in a nutshell):
u had enough? it'll run fine and smooth
u barely had enough? it'll run fine but not as smooth
not enough? stutter, lag, even crashes sometimes
the faster the ram, the lesser the game would usually use, also, some extra fps, but nothing too amazing

i would suggest u add a SSD instead in this case 😀

if u still want to add some RAM, get it as identical as possible to your old RAM (same brand, same speed, etc) to boost the compability chance
