[SOLVED] Plantronics RIG 800hd headset

Hello.

I purchased last night a pair of the plantronics rig 800hd headset.

• I am getting all background noise transmit through the mic and then played out of the ear cups.
• i can hear my breathing come through the mic to the headset aswell.
• it also sounds like the cable is rubbing against your clothes making a scratching sound. ( its wireless though)

I have tried to google as much as i can. Could only really find a post on reddit and doesn't tell u a fix and that was an issue for sidetone.

-I made sure in recordings the voice feedback was off

• tried to install / uninstall headset drivers
• restarted computer multiple times
• tried on 2 pcs and a laptop and still getting it.
• i paired the headset to the receiver multiple times.

Its weird because my brother has the exact same pair and his don't do any of it.

I wondering if I should just take them back.

If anyone knows a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Try moving the mic away from your nose and mouth a bit.
