[SOLVED] Please check my build.

My PC is now 10 years old and the 580 GTX is running hot and doesn't meet the requirements for a lot of the games I have been looking at. Have two of these PC's and have had no trouble so I'm partial to EVGA, ASUS, Corsair. I got a call that the GPU I'm on the waiting list for is available but I have to let them know Saturday Feb 12 if I still want it. I'd like to do the whole build around the GPU. I have put together a list of parts and was hoping I could get advice on anything that should be changed, incompatible, poor choices, as well as if extra case fans should be used. I cannot build a PC myself and have to buy all the parts from one supplier so that they will assemble. Prices are in Canadian Dollars.

I'd suggest going for air cooling for better performance and reliability.

The case is... too expensive for what it is, and too big for your components, you're not mounting a big custom loop with 3 graphics cards in there, it'll look empty imo. Plus the airflow isn't even that good, if you're going with an ATX board go for a midtower case, no need to overcompensate if all the PC does is sit on the floor or over your desk, unless your room doubles as a CES stand.

CPU try to find a KF, unless you really need the iGPU for whatever reason when you already have a high end graphics card. Realistically the iGPU is never used except for hardware troubleshooting which it appears isn't something you'll do since you're not building the PC.

I notice you're paying more just for the looks, paying a lot more on the RAM for no reason other than "it has LEDs on it", like, you could get a 3600MHz kit for less than that.

Storage you should go for an m.2 form factor as your boot drive, cheaper and a bit better performance. The hard drive is pretty much the same as a regular WD "Blue" with some more cache that's pretty much useless if all you do is store downloads and maybe a few retro games or whatever, 64 or 256MB cache simply makes no difference when you already have an SSD as your master drive.

Corsair thermal paste... I can't believe that exists, well I have a 1kg mayo jar full of high performance paste as well, it's actually regular paste just a bit more grayish to make it look "high end", I got it on a discount for $10.
If you want decent paste go for the AS5 that shows up in the website, no fancy stuff needed.

The ODD can't be mounted on any edgy gaming cases so if you really need it you'll have to go for a normal case instead.

Pretty much any local mom & pops computer repair shop will build a PC for a small fee. You just order the components and have them build it for you. btw that Z590 board won't work with an Intel 12th gen cpu. What will be the primary purpose of your build? If it's gaming you went way overboard on the board, psu & cpu cooler and shorted yourself on the gpu. btw I don't see a drive bay on that case for your DVD drive you have in that build.

You might need to tell them the cooler gets top mounted blowing out, extra fan in the back blowing out, M.2 500GB is for the OS, I have no clue how confident they are to actually set a PC up properly.

EDIT the 100 bucks for them to build it and make sure everything works is actually not a bad price.

Sorry to bring up this old thread. I would just like to thank everybody for their help. Your advice was very helpful and a lot of it ended up in the build. I wish I could give Tom's Hardware Forums a rating. I know I wasn't entitled to help, but out of four forums where I asked, this was the one that answered. Great community!
