Question Please critique video editing / content creation rig

Hey Guys,

I have ~$2500 to build a rig that would be strictly for video editing. I have hundreds of hours of footage that needs to be edited and rendered. My current rig, takes HOURS to get just 1 video done. Ive built many computers myself over the past 25 years but tech is changing so quickly, i wanted to verify im not making any mistakes with the parts:

What are the specs of your current video rig?

Do some video editing and observe system performance via Task Manager and Resource Monitor. Use both tools but only one tool at a time. Discover what, if anything, may be bottlenecking performance.

How big are the videos being rendered? What rendering times are expected or required?

What video editing software applications do you use?

Most applications provide some listing of the required hardware in the form of "minimal", "recommended", and "best".

You do not want "minimal" and you do want as much "best" as you can afford.

Compare the software's hardware requirements to your picker list.

 

[Why_Me]

@xplicid001 the Samsung Pro has some reported issues atm (see link down below). I believe you would not only benefit from DDR5 but more RAM. This cpu down below goes head to head with the Ryzen 7900 in regards to productivity. btw a 750W psu will power this build but an 850W gives you some headroom.
