I am experiencing some very odd things happening to my home router. Here's some of them:
1-Random internet drop-outs.Now I specificly mean the internet itself. Not the router SSID or name.
It'll be working just fine for 10 min then no internet.I have to restart the router to fix this but then again, sometimes it doesn't work.
2-Video buffer nonsense.I will be casually watching youtube on my phone and the drop out issue happens again. Now what is very weird is that if I try to play the same video on my laptop, it's fine. It's almost like the router has priorities.
There are a few more issues, but nothing problematic. Now this is a problem with the router itself. Not the laptop, not the IPS, because if I try to connect my internet cable directly into my laptop, non of the drop-out and video loading issues happen.
The router I am using is a TP-Link TL-WR740N.
This is almost like a rant post for me so sorry.I really hope someone can help me since this is very annoying.

I don't really want to update the firmware since it's the IPS's router and we need to give it back.
Channels from 4 to 8 are occupied.Ours in that range.Should I change it?
Security is WPA2 personal, encruption is AES
Only my phone and laptop
