[PLEASE HELP]Alt+Tab taking long in games

When i alt+tab f. example in gta v or watch dogs 2, it takes like 5 seconds to get to the desktop, but when i Alt+Tab from Garry's Mod in happens instantly. Help please??


EDIT: Its slow on one of my monitors, but instant on my other?

This greatly deppends on the game's weight on the machine(RAM/CPU and GPU load) and it's optimization.
Garrys mods is much lighter than GTA or Watch Dogs in that aspect, therefore it will take less time to do the Alt tabbing.

It's more than normal that some programs/games take longer than others to ALT+TAB, as your making it go to the background processes and then focusing them again.

The only way to 'fix' this is increasing your PC overall performance or closing non-used programs to make it focus it's power on the games.

Yes, but the thing is that it doesnt take that long when i run in 60Hz(i run in 76Hz with Nvidia custom res)

And my specs are gtx 1070 and i7 4790k Overclocked

You sure you're playing the game in the exact same res. your Windows is running as well?

Had a problem like my game was on a higher res than Windows, so whenever i alt tabbed the monitor had to readjust to fit the Windows res taking longer to do so.

UPDATE: Tabbing is slow on my BenQ monitor, but superfast on my packard bell? Same specs
